After an initial spike in bookings – thanks to some influencer marketing – premium Chinese restaurant Blue Pavilions found things slowing down. They challenged us to improve their digital visibility and not just increase online bookings, but maintain them.

To sell a product, you have to know a product. So the Simul team took a trip to the restaurant to try out their tasty wares for ourselves. Great atmosphere, incredible food – and an opportunity to understand the business from a customer viewpoint to help us hone in on the right approach.
Working alongside their internal marketing manager, we developed a three and six month strategy for client approval – assisted by some in-depth industry and audience analysis. We also analysed their existing website and noted some missing fundamentals and user journey issues that needed addressing.
Firstly, we got those website fundamentals sorted to help support our conversion rate optimisation (CRO) strategy. New navigation, updated menu display, web form placement, user experience – all upgraded.
Search, display, remarketing and Youtube ads were created (on-brand, of course) to spread the word about the Blue Pavilion experience. Our SEO team further improved the website structure and content for a seamless user journey and a cohesive digital presence.
With all efforts combined and effective audience targeting in our creative campaigns, the client has seen great growth and a consistent increase in bookings. Excellent initial paid media results have led to us supporting their internal social team and now we’re ready to move onto the next task… raising awareness of Blue Pavilion through local radio in Leeds.
